30 Miles. 30 Days. One Mission - Better Treatments and a Cure for CCM.
You can make an impact—one donation at a time.
As many of you know I had to undergo an extensive brain surgery in April due to recurrent brain bleeds from a lesion deep in my brain that resulted in the loss of a third of my vision. What you may not know is that my brain bleeds are caused by abnormal clusters of blood vessels that can develop spontaneously without warning and can cause debilitating symptoms or even death. I still have three other lesions that could at any time bleed and cause new symptoms. This is a hereditary disease that has affected many of my family members. Unfortunately, there is no cure for my disease, so I will continue to be at risk for the rest of my life along with my dad and other family members unless a cure can be found. Anything you can donate to raise awareness and fund research is much appreciated! Thank you!!
Through Our Eyes: Why We Stride
Living with cavernous malformation isn’t just a diagnosis—it’s a daily journey filled with uncertainty, resilience, and hope. For my family, it started with [a sudden bleed / an unexpected scan / a terrifying ER visit]. Since then, every step forward has mattered.
That’s why we’re joining the 30 miles in 30 days challenge, from June 1–30, as part of Strides to Cure CCM. Every mile we walk honors the fight so many of us face—every mile raises awareness, fuels research, and reminds families like mine that we are not alone.
If you’re able, please consider joining us or making a donation. Together, we can take steps that lead to something greater—a cure.
