Your gift supports the non-profit organization Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation. Our mission is to inform, support, and mobilize those affected by cavernous malformation and drive research for better treatments and a cure.

A cavernous malformation is a raspberry-shaped abnormal blood vessel in the brain and spinal cord that can hemorrhage and cause strokes and seizures in both children and adults. People with hereditary forms of the illness can develop many cavernous malformations in a lifetime. Currently, brain or spinal cord surgery is the only treatment. Alliance to Cure is working with researchers to develop medications that will prevent hemorrhage, prevent the development of more lesions, and, ultimately, make existing lesions disappear.

Funds raised will be used to support research grants, the Alliance's DNA and tissue bank, a patient registry, the annual international scientific meeting, and the development of clinical Centers of Excellence. We are accelerating the cure for cavernous malformation!
