Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation Golf Scramble

Join us on the course for a fun day of golf and community all benefiting Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation. The format of the golf scramble is such that each golfer on the team hits a tee shot. The team then selects the best tee shot and all four golfers hit their next shot from that spot. This process continues until the ball is holed out. In addition to the golf tournament, there will be other fundraising activities such as a silent auction and raffle. The registration fee for the event includes green fees, golf cart, range balls for the driving range, breakfast, lunch, and a drink ticket .

The event will benefit the non-profit organization Angioma Alliance DBA Alliance To Cure Cavernous Malformation, the only patient and research organization supporting those affected by cavernous malformation. A cavernous malformation is a raspberry-shaped abnormal blood vessel in the brain or spinal cord that can hemorrhage and cause strokes, seizures, disability, and even death in both children and adults. People with hereditary forms of the illness can develop many cavernous malformations in a lifetime. Currently, brain surgery is the only treatment. Alliance To Cure Cavernous Malformation is working with researchers to develop medications that will prevent hemorrhage and prevent the development of more lesions.
Funds from our event will support the Alliance To Cure Cavernous Malformation's pre-clinical treatment testing program, making us one of the pioneering rare disease organizations to do so. The program will involve conducting extensive experiments on medications that have never been tested for CCM, utilizing both academic and commercial laboratories. We are driving research toward a cure!
